The High March languages curriculum encompasses the core subjects of English, French, Latin and Spanish.
English
At High March, the emphasis on the study of English is based firmly on confidence and clarity in handling the language, both when speaking and when writing, as language is fundamental to analytical thinking.

French is taught at High March from Reception to Year 6. Pupils in Reception to Year 3 have one lesson each week. Studying a foreign language is great fun. At this young age, pupils are ideally suited to learn French and to develop their linguistic awareness.

At High March learning Latin is stimulating and fun and the girls experience a real sense of achievement at being able to understand a language of which they had little or no previous knowledge.
