Extra-curricular activities
Extra-curricular activities are highly valued at High March and we are proud of the broad and stimulating range of activities on offer.
Our aim is to encourage girls to pursue new interests in a caring and supportive environment. We aim for girls to gain confidence, interact socially and to have fun participating in activities they enjoy. Our programme of activities varies each term and we are flexible in our provision depending on the demand from pupils.
At High March, there really is something for everyone. The activities available range from Choir to Quiz Challenge Club, from Mandarin to Multisport, from Shakespeare Club to Construction and Engineering, from Calligraphy to Books and Board Games. Our sports clubs offer opportunities for pupils to imprve their skills in Netball, Swimming, Football, Gymnastics, Tennis, Judo and Fencing. In addition to general sports clubs, we offer selected performance squads which enable pupils to develop the skills they need to take part in competitive events in which High March has been hugely successful, both locally and nationally.
In addition, we offer After School Care at Junior House from 4pm to 5:30pm and two supervised prep sessions for Upper School girls each day from 4pm to 4:45pm and from 4:45pm to 5:30pm. Late Stay, to include a light tea, operates from 5:30pm until 6:00pm, and is available for Junior House and Upper School girls. Early Birds is also available from 8am across the school.
Update: From September 2024, we will be running our ‘Up with the Larks Breakfast Club’ for children from Nursery up to Year 6! Breakfast will be served and it will run from 7.30am until 8am.
