A great effort from our Year 5 Netball squad

The Year 5 A Netball Team travelled to St George’s Ascot early morning on Saturday, 27 January. It was a beautiful crisp sunny morning, and the girls were very excited at the prospect of playing lots of new, different schools.

The tournament started with High March playing the Old Vicarage School and they came away with a close 4-4 draw. The girls then went on to play Marist Prep but the latter proved to be very stiff competition and High March just lost out. Unfortunately, the girls were then drawn against Hoe Bridge, who went on to be the tournament winners.  

Despite a series of very challenging matches, the girls thoroughly enjoyed the tournament and it was pleasing to see the improvements in their game as the tournament progressed. Sofia F was delighted to be voted High March’s Player of the Tournament and she was especially happy with her goodie bag!
