A sea of green for Shamrock Day

23.05.2022

Friday, 13th May saw the Shamrock House Charity Fundraising Day. Children at both Junior House and Upper School were asked to come to school dressed in the Shamrock house colours of green, white and black.

Earlier in the week the Year Six Shamrock House prefects gave wonderfully prepared assemblies to both Upper School and Junior House, presenting a detailed look into the work of the two chosen charities, British Heart Foundation and AgeUK Charities. On the day itself, the girls led a variety of exciting activities throughout the day. These included a cake sale, tombola, fidget popper race (which proved to be very popular!), best joke competition, guess the number of sweets in the jar and last but certainly by no means least, guess the name of the squidgemallow (which was also particularly popular with the girls!). Fortunately, the strong winds held off and the day was a tremendous success raising a very impressive total of £455.10 for the two designated charities.

Well done to all of Shamrock House, with particular thanks going to the House Captains and their parents for all of their hard work in organising the day.

Well done, Shamrock House!
