A closely fought Biathlon

On Sunday 12^th November 6 girls from High March raced a duathlon (run/cycle /run) organised by Hillingdon Triathletes and held at the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, Minet Park, Hayes.

The circuit is about a mile long, off road and on a tar surface that includes some testing hills and bends. The venue and event organisation attract competitive athletes from across the South East.

Harriet S, Primrose B-L, Charlotte R and Sasha W raced in the Tristar category which involved a 400m run / 1.5km bike / 200m run. Annabel S and Isabel R (Year 6), having pre-December birthdays, had to race in the Tristar 2 category for 11 and 12 year olds. This involved a 1000m run / 6km bike / 800m run. Annabel, demonstrating superb bike skills, finished closely behind former High March pupil Lucia P who continues to enjoy triathlon success.
