A friendly gala for our Year 4 and Year 6 swimmers

Our swimmers travelled to Maltmans Green for a friendly gala, which had been arranged to celebrate all the hard work the girls have done over the past year. Due to residential trips taking place this term, we adjusted match‑ups: our Year 4 A team took on Maltman’s Year 5 B team, while our Year 6 B team faced their Year 5 A squad. Despite the unusual pairings, our girls rose to the challenge with determination and great team spirit.

The standard of swimming was impressive throughout, with Year 4 delivering an especially outstanding performance. Although we just missed out on a win on this occasion, the gala gave us valuable insight into areas we can strengthen. Our goal will be to continue working hard to build confidence, refine technique,and most importantly, to sharpen our competitive edge.
