A great result at the Beechwood Netball Tournament

At the end of last term, the Year 6 A and Year 5 A Teams competed in the U11 Netball Tournament at Beechwood Park School. It was a great day and both teams played amazingly well. The Year 5 girls should be congratulated on their resilience as they played against girls in the year group above. 

Year 6 girls notched up some notable wins against Beechwood Park, Stormont, Godstowe and Kingshott and progressed into the semi-finals against North London Collegiate. Despite leading for a good part of the match, they dropped back and lost  10-6.  In the play off for third and fourth places, they were pitted against Milton Keynes prep. Once again, it was a very close match; High March started strongly but Milton Keynes Prep fought back. However, our girls gave it their all and secured a win of 8-7, consequently, finishing 3^rd overall out of the 14 teams.    

It was more of a mixed bag of results for Year 5 but they nevertheless finished 6^th overall out of the 14 teams. They are keen to return next year to improve on their position!

Well done to all the girls who took part. They represented High March with pride and were a real credit to us all!
