A Maths Challenge for Year 4

Last Friday, Zoe, Aiza, Holly and Arya represented High March at a Year 4 Maths Challenge held at Davenies School.  

The event was attended by twenty schools, each with at least two pairs of pupils competing.  Over the course of the afternoon, the girls had to complete a number of mathematical tasks, many of which were against the clock.  These included: sequences and patterns; ‘make 24’; sudoku; dominoes; tangram shapes; and shopping lists with number alphabets.  The girls worked with determination and focus during all of the activities, thoroughly enjoying the afternoon.
