A practical approach to Maths

Reception girls were excited to return to school last week after the Christmas break and they have been having great fun during their Maths lessons.

Maths is inevitably hugely practical for this age group and their recent lesson exploring the concepts of ‘heavier’ and ‘lighter’ was no exception. The girls took a good look around their classroom before selecting a variety of objects to include in their experiment! As you would expect, there was much discussion as to which items would be heavier and which lighter!
