A Spotacular Children In Need Day at Upper School!
20.11.2024
This year, our school once again came together to support Children in Need. With exciting activities, immense generosity, and the hard work of our Head Girls, Elisa and Sienna, this fundraising event was a resounding success.
Under the enthusiastic leadership of our Head Girls, the day was packed with fun-filled events which brought the school community together. Activities at Upper School included Spin the Wheel where pupils lined up to test their luck, spinning the wheel to win prizes, the ever-popular Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar and Name the Bear where a large cuddly Pudsey bear waited to meet its new owner! There was a lunchtime Fun Obstacle Course on the netball court where girls competed against each other and had a blast. Merchandise was available to buy too!
Across the School there were Pudsey Bear colouring competitions which showcased the pupils’ creativity, adding a splash of colour to the day as they were displayed for all to see. The cake decorating competition and bake sale with a delicious array of wonderfully decorated cakes baked by pupils were quickly purchased and enjoyed at the end of the day.
The Head Girls, supported by the Charity prefects, worked tirelessly to organize and coordinate these activities, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that everyone had an opportunity to participate. Through our collective efforts, the school raised an incredible total of £873.51! Every event contributed significantly and the high level of enthusiasm and participation made the week truly memorable.
Children in Need is a charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. The funds we raised will contribute to programs offering essential services such as education, therapy, counselling, and more, helping to transform lives and create brighter futures. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Head Girls for their outstanding leadership and to everyone who participated, donated, or supported this initiative. Your generosity and community spirit have shown the true power of teamwork. Together, we’ve made a real difference in the lives of children in need.
