A strong performance in difficult conditions

On Monday 10 June Grace H in Year 5 and Maria in Year 6 took part in the London Prep Schools Athletics Meet. It was a very wet day and the girls showed exceptional levels of resilience and determination in the face of such poor conditions.

Maria’s first event was the U12 Long Jump; she performed exceptionally well, producing a personal best and jumping 3 metres 86. Grace also produced a personal best in the U11 Long Jump of 3 metres 48. Both girls came 3rd in their competitions, a superb result.

Grace and Maria also ran in the 800 metres, Maria put in a strong performance to come second in her race whilst Grace stormed around the track to produce a new personal best and also came second.

Very well done to both girls: they represented High March in excellent fashion.
