A strong showing in the first Division 10 Gala of the year
10.10.2024
On October 1st, a mix of Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils took part in our first Division 10 swimming gala of the academic year. It was an action-packed gala; all our girls performed brilliantly and did not shy away from the challenge or the competition.
All swimmers had shown remarkable progress in the past few months, and, consequently, there was some exceptional racing on display. Some of the highlights were Annabel winning the first place in her heat even though her googles came off from the dive (!) whilst Gabriella tested her butterfly and found a new strength. Jessica showed herself to be a valuable part of the team, stepping in with her butterfly swim for the medley relay. In the Individual events, we had several first and second placements and in the relays our Year 4, 5 and 6 teams secured first place in most relays. We are now awaiting results from the Division 10 organisers but it is clear that we have done very well as a team.
A special thank you to our swim Captains, Zoe, Izzy and Jasmin who played a crucial role in getting the swimmers ready and organising the relays.
We can confidently say that we had a very successful and strong representation in this swimming gala, marking an exciting start to the season. We are looking forward to some more excellent performances – without doubt, we have an exciting year ahead!
Well done to all swimmers!
