A visit from a best-selling author

As part of our Book Week celebrations, the girls at Upper School were fortunate to have a visit from the author, Holly Webb, this week. Mrs Webb is the bestselling author of many books for children, including ‘Green River’ and the ‘Museum Kittens’ series.

In her engaging sessions, Mrs Webb read excerpts from her books and talked in depth about her passion for animals and the environment. The younger pupils designed their own museum exhibits based on ‘Museum Kittens’ whilst our older girls learned about the wildlife which inspired the ‘Green River’ book. All pupils had the opportunity to ask questions about the writing process and life as an author.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the girls had the opportunity to express their creativity through discussion, drawing and writing. They all went away feeling inspired to become authors themselves!
