A visit to the Bucks Goat Centre

As part of our Educational Visits programme, Reception girls were lucky enough to be able to visit the Bucks Goat Centre this term.

The girls started their day with a tour around the farm, feeding the goats, pigs and alpacas. Any nervousness about the eagerness of the goats to clamber over the fence and get closer to them to get more food soon disappeared and they were soon totally relaxed about the goats being in such close proximity. The girls were also able to hold the ferrets, rabbits and chickens before hearing all about Jasper the fox and how the centre had rescued him from North America. Adam, his keeper, had taught him how to sit down and wait for his food. The girls were very impressed!

Much to their delight, the girls were able to explore the farm in the afternoon and to play in the park on site.
