A wet and windy netball tournament for Year 6

On Monday 20th March, Year 6 went to Beechwood Park near St Albans to take part in an invitational Netball Tournament.

There were 16 different teams at the tournament and we found ourselves in a very tough pool group of 4, along with the eventual winners. The girls played really well in their pool games but unfortunately lost out to the winners, the ‘A’ team from Heath Mount School. We then went through to our next round where we beat St Hilda’s 15-0, Heath Mount ‘B’ team 11-4 and North London Collegiate School 7-3. 

The girls made excellent progress throughout the tournament and really started to work well in their rotations. It was a very wet day and they also showed excellent resilience in some difficult conditions, so well done to everyone who took part.
