An action-packed Number Day at Upper School

Upper School pupils were excited to participate in Number Day 2024 on Friday, 2 February.  Pupils dressed as budding rockstars and their costumes were fantastic.  In class lessons the girls took part in the national Times Tables Rockstars competition, where there was certainly adrenaline-fuelled times tables practice happening in every classroom!  They also had an opportunity to play maths games in lessons, with Year 3 even constructing some exciting 3D shapes.

Year 4 and 5 pupils participated in an assembly led by TV maths legend, Johnny Ball, where they enjoyed some maths tricks and learning how maths links to History, Geography and Science.  During breaktime and lunchtime the girls participated in a selection of playground games with a number theme.  They had an opportunity to play darts, noughts and crosses, guess the totals of items in pictures and other practical number games.  At lunchtime the catering staff even provided number shaped cookies for dessert.

All money donated on the day will go to the NSPCC.
