An excellent showing from our swim squads

High March swimmers took part in a friendly Abbots Hill B Team Swimming Gala on Thursday, 22 January 2026, held at Abbots Hill School in Hemel Hempstead. Girls from Years 4 to 6 represented the school, and every swimmer performed brilliantly, demonstrating the progress they have made and the hard work they put into swim squad each week.

There were some particularly brave performances, including a Year 4 swimmer stepping up to race butterfly against Year 5 swimmers — and managing to beat an older opponent! We had a swimmer taking part in their very first gala, learning to manage nerves, build resilience and, importantly, enjoy the experience. The gala finished as a draw, with both teams scoring 69 points.

A massive thank you goes to our swim captains for supporting the team with such dedication and care, truly reflecting our school motto of kindness and friendship.
