Art and textiles with a difference
21.01.2025
On Wednesday 15th January, 13 girls from Years 5 and 6 had the opportunity to visit Headington Rye school in Oxford. They were visiting the new Art and Textiles block to carry out some projects with the Headington staff.
The girls began by making a cushion using silk screen printing and later they appliqued a design onto a tote bag with patterned fabric. Some girls from Headington sixth form were available to help and they, along with the staff, spoke about all the opportunities which are available for GCSE and A-level Textiles and Art.
Our High March girls made an amazing job of the two projects and the staff were very impressed with the high level of artistic ability shown. Everyone had a fabulous time and the Headington staff were quick to invite High March to visit again next year!
