Bucks County Netball Champions!

On Monday 20 May the Year 6 Netball Team travelled to Aylesbury for the County Netball Finals. They were very excited as this would be their last tournament at High March as a team. They had nine netball games to play and they were very determined, especially as most of the other teams had boys in them

They started off very strongly with an 11-0 win. Ttheir second match was very tight, but, nevertheless they won 4-3 against the eventual bronze medalists. They also secured a victory in their next game – 6-0. The competition stepped up with the next game being very tough and physical against Olney from Milton Keynes (reigning champions. Despite the strong opposition,  the girls won 1-0 in what was a very tense and pressured situation as everyone knew that this game could be the difference between the gold and silver medals. The next matches were all wins for High March:  13-2, 14-1, 5-1 and 5-3. The final match was against another very physical team, Two Mile Ash; sadly, we suffered a few injuries, but we battled hard and were rewarded by being crowned County Champions.

Well done to all the girls who took part and for being so resilient- we are all very proud of you!
