Celebrating 25 years!

05.09.2025

Earlier this week, High March staff came together to celebrate Mrs Honiball’s twenty-five years at High March. Mrs Honiball joined High March in 2000 as a Reception teacher under Mrs Forsyth,  former Headmistress, and quickly established herself as a highly professional and committed teacher, always putting the needs of the girls first. In 2007, she was appointed Head of Junior House and joined the management team. Mrs Honiball taught in Reception initially and after a long period here – 20 years! – moved to Year 2 and then onto Year 1.

The Honiball family have had a close relationship with High March over the years. Mrs Honiball’s husband, Peter, is the High March Business Manager and their daughter, Millie, joined High March in Nursery, leaving us in Year 6. Their son, Max, even helped out during Covid! Both Peter and Millie were present to join in with the congratulations.

We would all like to thank Mrs Honiball for all that she has done for High March over the years! In her own words:

“This year marks a very special milestone for me – 25 years of working at High March. As I reflect on the journey, I feel incredibly grateful to have been given the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful school community for so long.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside so many hardworking and dedicated teachers and teaching assistants. Their passion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the children have inspired me every day. I have learned so much from them, and I carry those lessons with me always.

I’ve also been fortunate to work with countless children and their families – each child unique, each family special. While the children move on to new schools and new adventures, they leave behind cherished memories. It is a joy to watch them grow and flourish, and they remain in my heart long after they’ve left our classrooms.

Looking back, I can only feel gratitude. Thank you, High March, for the opportunity, the support, and the sense of belonging. And thank you to everyone who makes up this amazing community – past and present. Here’s to the memories made and the ones still to come.”

With heartfelt thanks,

 Michelle Honiball
