Celebrating Harvest Festival

13.10.2022

It was wonderful to welcome so many of our families to our two Harvest Festival services this week.  The donations from Upper School were delivered to the Slough foodbank and staff there were most grateful for the bounty which was delivered to them.  The driver came back and confessed to feeling quite emotional, having heard some of the stories from the staff there about the people who rely on the foodbank on a regular basis.

Volunteers from the Thursday Lunch Club in Beaconsfield collected the donations from Junior House.  They too, were bowled over by the incredible generosity of our families.  Congratulations to everyone involved for making such a difference to the lives of so many people in our local community.

Grateful thanks to Rev. Sharon Roberts for joining us with her ‘Harvest Rainbow’ and thoughtful message.

The retiring collections from the Harvest Festival Services raised £839.45 for the NSPCC – £523.40 came from the two services at Junior House and £316.05 came from Upper School.  It is fantastic that this important charity has also benefited from our Harvest Festival.
