Celebrating NSPCC Number Day
06.02.2026

Today, we celebrated NSPCC Number Day, a fantastic event dedicated to enjoying and exploring maths in creative ways. Children arrived in brilliant outfits, either dressed as numbers or embracing the ‘Wild About Maths’ theme. Throughout the day, a range of fun and engaging number activities took place, and everyone enjoyed a special number‑themed break‑time snack.
At Upper School, our Maths Prefects led a lively Number Assembly filled with mathematical magic tricks, number challenges, jokes and even a calculation song that had everyone joining in!
During the day, pupils took part in a variety of activities, including a number hunt, solving clues such as “Find a square number” and “Find a number with exactly 3 factors.” Some also tackled missions to help Hilde Beest find supplies in the jungle, including code‑cracking and they worked out which rope ladder would safely help her climb down a waterfall.
It was a brilliant day full of curiosity, problem‑solving, and a shared love of maths!
