Celebrating the European Day of Languages

Six Year 5  girls were invited to Haileybury Languages Day to celebrate the European Day of Languages, which took place on 26^th September. 

After a warm welcome and some tasty snacks, the girls attended the Spanish session where they performed a Spanish dance and coloured in South American country flags. Then, they learnt how to have a basic conversation in Italian and how to order food in a German café. They finished with a treasure hunt with some tricky French questions and a language quiz to round up the day.

One of the highlights of the day was very definitely the delicious continental food for lunch, which included a pasta bar and an array of desserts!
