Christmas in Hawaii

Last Thursday we were really excited to receive a visit from two artists working alongside the team at Waddesdon Manor, helping to prepare the annual Festival of Lights.

Year 3 were lucky enough to have the workshop with the artists and this year the theme was Christmas songs from around the world. The particular tableau which we were working on was “Christmas in Hawaii” by Bing Crosby and, as Year 3 carefully created wired palm trees in different shades of green, they listened to an Hawaiian Christmas song! A very different approach to Christmas than we were expecting, but the girls worked very hard and the palms looked fabulous.

As a reward for working hard and helping with the display, Year 3 parents will be receiving a free ticket for their daughter and half-price tickets for their family to visit the fantastic Festival of Lights at Waddesdon Manor. This promises to be a very magical festive experience!
