Excellent results in the Biathlon

On Saturday 8th January pupils represented High March at the Pentathlon GB South and South Eastern Qualifiers for the National School Biathlon Championships in Aldershot.

We are thrilled to report that the U11 team won first place, the U10 team won 7th and 10th place and the U9 team won 2nd place.

Individual girls also attained some excellent placings and times both on the track and in the pool, and will be qualifying for the Nationals in Bath in March. A number of girls produced very high scores –  2000+ points overall – notably, Caroline, Annabel and Eva in the U11 category and Cara, Elizabeth and Elisa in the U9s.  A special mention must also go to Caroline and Cara who both attained second place overall in their respective age groups.

Enormous thanks to Mrs Gillian McAlister, High March Triathlon Club and the PE Department for training and inspiring the girls to attain these excellent results.
