Exploring the fauna and flora at College Lake Nature Reserve
23.06.2026
The girls in Year 3 had a lovely time at College Lake Nature Reserve recently
. Despite being caught in a few heavy showers, the day was a great success and enjoyable for everyone. The girls took part in a habitat safari, using binoculars to spot unusual birds in the lake and observing the beautiful wildflowers in the meadow. They also participated in a minibeast trail, with a cute little toad being the highlight of the day!
Pond dipping was the final activity, which caused great excitement. A variety of weird and wonderful creatures were located and closely studied. The girls proved to be excellent explorers and showed immense bravery when handling some rather scary-looking creepy crawlies!
