Exploring the world of Harry Potter
22.06.2026

Earlier this term, Year 6 visited Warner Bros. Studios for an exciting and enriching trip. The day began with an engaging workshop on Costumes and Characterisation, where the girls explored how costume design—through colour, texture and detail—reveals a character’s personality and role. They also had the opportunity to view original costumes worn by actors in the films, bringing their learning vividly to life.
After a short break, they entered the studio tour, the most magical part of the day. Pupils were amazed by the authentic sets from the Harry Potter films, including the Great Hall, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Bank and various rooms within Hogwarts School. They also learned about special, visual and creature effects, gaining insight into how magical elements and creatures are created on screen.
Following lunch, the tour continued before ending with a visit to the gift shop.
Overall, it was a memorable and inspiring experience, with everyone thoroughly enjoying their immersion in the world of Harry Potter and film-making.
