Fabulous Artwork on display

22.05.2025

On the weekend of 17th and 18th May the sun shone and High March threw open its doors for its renowned annual Art Exhibition. Many visitors flocked in, including parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and local residents too!

Displays at Upper School included the Arctic, complete with an igloo, showing Year 3’s work on Inuit Art. Aboriginal Art abounded from Year 4 whilst Year 6 impressed everyone with their handmade ‘Squishmallows’ and their acrylic paintings based on the work of contemporary artist Steven Brown.

At Junior House the theme was ‘The Ocean’; Year 1 displayed their dexterity by producing beautifully decorated clay fish and Year 2 wowed everyone with their beautiful pastel pictures of famous paintings!

This year for the first time we had visitors from the Wishford Education group. Paul Easterbrook, Head of Education for the Group, travelled down with his wife, an Art teacher with 32 years experience to visit the exhibition. They both loved the experience, saying they were “blown away” by all the fabulous art and had never seen an exhibition so wonderfully impressive.
