Go, Shamrocks!

29.04.2021

Wednesday, 28th April saw the annual Shamrock House Day.

The day started with Shamrock House Captains, Kitty and Zarina, giving a wonderfully prepared virtual presentation for Morning Assembly, which included a detailed look into the work of the two chosen charities, Antibiotic Research UK and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. The girls then led a variety of exciting (yet Covid-19 friendly!) activities throughout the day including a popular cake sale, guess the number of sweets in a jar, obstacle course, best joke competition and a wonderfully imaginative idea of decorating your own piece of Irish driftwood, the latter proving particularly popular with the girls. The girls were each given a pack of Shamrock seeds with instructions on how to plant them at home.  Fortunately, the predicted rain held off and the day was a tremendous success, raising a considerable sum for the two chosen charities.

Well done to all of Shamrock House, in particular the Year Six Shamrock House girls and their parents, for all of their hard work in organising the day. Congratulations also to all of the girls who took part in the various competitions;  the winners will be announced on Monday.

Well done, Shamrock House!
