Friday, 13 March saw the Shamrock House Assembly and Charity Fundraising Day.
The day started with the Year Six Shamrock House Captain, Annabel and Vice-Captain, Amy, introducing a guest speaker, Mr Ian Vallance, UK Fundraising Director of Smile Train, who then gave a wonderful presentation to all of Upper School on the work of the charity. Throughout the day, the girls led a variety of exciting activities including a cake sale, funniest joke competition, a treasure hunt, nail painting, doughnut challenge and a wonderfully imaginative idea of biscuit decoration, which proved particularly popular with the girls.
The day was a tremendous success, raising a very impressive total of £731.10 to be shared between Smile Train and Shamrock’s other chosen charity, British Heart Foundation.
Well done to all of Shamrock House, with particular thanks going to Annabel and Amy and all Year Six Shamrock House girls and parents for their hard work in organising the day’s events. Congratulations also to all of the participants and winners of the competitions.
Well done, Shamrock House!
