Great enthusiasm from our swimmers!

Earlier this week, three teams from Years 3, 4 and 5 took part in a friendly swimming gala against St Helen’s School. For some of our Year 3 swimmers, this was only their second gala, making it a valuable opportunity to gain further experience and confidence in a competitive setting.

The girls approached the event with enthusiasm and determination and went on to deliver some outstanding individual performances. We were especially proud to see High March secure first place in the majority of individual races across all year groups and strokes – a fantastic achievement! Unfortunately, the relay events didn’t go quite as smoothly as usual, due to a couple of early takeovers resulting in disqualifications, this in itself provided valuable learning which we will be sure to incorporate in our future training sessions.

Overall, our swimmers made us incredibly proud with their effort, sportsmanship and team spirit. Although we missed out on a win by the smallest of margins, we came away motivated, inspired, and ready to build on this experience with resilience and focus.
