Jessica’s fabulous artwork for the Headmistress

It has become a tradition that the winner of our prestigious Rosemary Chapples Art Prize should produce a picture to hang in Mrs Gater’s office. Jessica in Year 5 was this year’s winner, and during the summer holidays she worked very hard to produce a show-stopping picture!

Yesterday morning in assembly, Jessica had the opportunity to present the finished, framed picture to Mrs Gater. After the unveiling, everyone said how very impressed they were with the painting: a beautiful lakeside scene with mountains in the background. Mrs Gater loved the picture and commented that it was a most relaxing and contemplative scene, which was just right for her to have in her office.
