Keep throwing!

It was wonderful to get our youngest girls in Upper School onto the potters’ wheels in our Art room for the first time recently.

Young children find it much more natural to handle the clay and work with the wheel, rather than being afraid of it, as is so often the case with adults. We are thrilled to be able to give our girls an excellent opportunity to develop their pot throwing skills at an early age. Throwing on a wheel is also an excellent way to develop hand to eye co-ordination and gross and fine motor skills, as well as being amazing fun!
