Learning vital skills
27.01.2025
Pupils across the School engaged with their annual First Aid Training sessions with great enthusiasm and maturity, learning important new skills while refreshing those they had previously studied. The training, which took place for Year 1 to 6 pupils, covered a wide range of vital techniques, including how to make a 999 call, basic wound care, dealing with head injuries, managing choking emergencies, placing someone in the recovery position and how to perform CPR and use an AED.
The children demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, approaching the sessions with eagerness and a commitment to mastering these life-saving skills. Through hands-on practice and role play, they gained valuable confidence in their ability to stay calm and respond effectively in emergencies.
We hope that the pupils have shared the skills they learned with their families and peers, reinforcing the important message of kindness and care in all aspects of life.
