Lest we forget

On Wednesday, Remembrance Day, girls from Reception to Year 6 observed a respectful and compassionate moment or two of silence as they remembered those who fought and gave their lives in service of their country since the First World War.  Two girls from Year 5 also accompanied the Headmistress, Mrs Gater, to the War Memorial in Beaconsfield to participate in the community act of Remembrance and to lay a wreath of poppies.  Many thanks to Mr Hayes, our Director of Music, who played The Last Post during Upper School Assembly, such an evocative and poignant piece when played at this time.
