Look out for the Weather Monster!

Our Spring term topic in Reception is all about the weather. To kick start our learning we read ‘My Friend The Weather Monster’ by Steve Smallman. The story is about a monster who controls the weather with his emotions. We had fun discussing how if he cried, it rained,  if he was happy, the sun shone but when he was angry there was a thunderstorm…!

We then created our own weather monsters and thought about how they felt. It was lovely to see everyone channelling their creativity. It was very definitely a sunny day in Reception…!
