Notre Voyage en France

20.05.2025

On 6th May, Year 6 had an early start on Tuesday for their last residential trip at High March. Everyone was so excited as we left for France. We had a long journey but soon enough we arrived at Chateau d’Ebblinghem, in the North of France, where we stayed for 3 nights.

During our stay, we went on lots of outings such as to Le Touquet, which is a town near the coast, where we had the chance to buy things at the market and play on the beach. We also visited a chocolate factory where we tasted chocolate and bought gifts. The next stop was a goat farm, where we were allowed to milk, hold and pet the goats! We also visited a bakery, learnt how to make bread and we each got a pain au chocolat which were gone in seconds! The evening activities were also a highlight of the trip. We made the Eiffel Tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows, played a game called Passport of the World and made delicious crêpes. The staff on site also gave us ‘Escargots’ to try and most girls enjoyed them and went back for seconds!

Thank you to all the teachers and Year 6 for making this trip so amazing!
