Our mathematicians rise to the challenge

On Tuesday 14 June,, six Year 5 girls travelled to Queen Anne’s School, in Caversham, to take part in a Maths Challenge afternoon.  The competition was based around a jungle theme with a mixture of individual and team rounds.  In the individual rounds the girls were timed whilst working on a range of activities, including times tables, repeated addition and missing number puzzles.  The team part of the competition involved completing animal tangrams and a maths relay race, which made for a fun and frantic end to the afternoon!
