Our unforgettable ski trip to Austria

“Our Year 6 ski trip to Austria was an unforgettable adventure filled with laughter, learning, and lots of snow!

On Friday, 7th February, 28 Year 6 girls set off for a week of skiing excitement. Some girls had skied before with their families, but many of us were beginners and had only had a few lessons at an indoor slope. We were all looking forward to it.

At the beginning of the week, all of the ski groups were doing slightly different things. Some were on the nursery slopes learning to snowplough and stop, while others were practising transferring their weight to weave between the poles. The most experienced skiers were polishing their technique and parallel turns. By the end of the week, every group had made so much progress and enjoyed skiing some challenging slopes.

After a day of skiing, we enjoyed a variety of activities, including an enjoyable visit to a waterpark, an exciting climbing session, a fun bowling night, a ride on the exhilarating Lucky Flitzer toboggan, a cosy movie night, and a shopping spree.

The highlights of our trip were probably going up the mountains on the chair lifts, feeling the breeze on our faces, and sharing lots of laughs with friends. The week flew by, and everyone had an amazing time!”
