‘P’ for Penguin!
17.01.2025
In Nursery this week we have had lots of fun beginning our work on phonics.
Our sound of the week was “P” which tied in nicely with our topic on penguins. We have enjoyed creating penguins using various textures including feathers and tissue paper and we have also cut out our own penguins using different shapes. A highlight of the week was our Polar rescue, where the children had to rescue the penguins and other arctic animals from blocks of ice. The week ended with us having the opportunity to make our own chocolate milk complete with cream and sprinkles!
A fun way to start learning about phonics!
