Plenty of blue and purple for Thistle Day
04.02.2026

Thistle House Day was a roaring success last Thursday, with a whopping £701 raised for ‘Born Free Foundation’ and ‘Horatio’s Garden’. This is an incredible sum of money, which will, we’re sure, be gratefully received by both charities.
Olivia and Lana, the House Captains, had carefully planned the day, and it was executed perfectly. Upper School girls were treated to a fabulous selection of cakes at break time and there were various thistle-themed activities taking place at lunchtime. Junior House girls took part in a colouring competition and were also treated to a tasty snack at break time.
In an effort to encourage the girls to donate as much money as possible, Olivia put herself forward to be ‘pie faced’ if the amount raised exceeded £400. Unfortunately for her, the girls were VERY keen to see this happen! What’s even more unfortunate, is that because we have two buildings, Olivia will have to be ‘pie faced’ twice!
