Poetry by Heart Winners

‘Poetry by Heart’ is a national poetry speaking competition for schools and colleges in England. Taking part in the competition is all about developing confidence with poetry in an enjoyable, accessible and engaging way which leads to its life-long enjoyment.

As a first stage, we held our own competition in School, to select our ‘finalists’ to enter the national competition. Many girls learned and performed a large variety of poems in front of their teachers and peers, and it was very enjoyable to watch all the wonderful performances.
