Reception learn all about the people who help them
13.03.2019
Reception has been learning about all the people who help us in school and in our wider community this term and they have been fortunate in being able to meet and talk to a variety of people. We found out that Mr Honiball, the Bursar, makes sure that the cleaners clean the school and that all the money is safe. Mrs Crockford, School Secretary, told us how she is in charge of ringing parents if a child is unwell and the Maintenance team let us into their workshop to explain how they fix anything which needs a repair. After that Mrs Avery, the lollipop lady, explained how she keeps pupils safe by helping them across the road wearing her fluorescent coat. More recently, Callum and Bethany, two members of the council recycling team, came into School to talk about recycling and how important it is. The girls really enjoyed hearing about what they do in our community to make it a better place and how they can contribute.
All in all, there was much to learn!
