Some excellent netball at the IAPS qualifiers

Earlier this month, the High March U11 Team went to the IAPS qualifiers at The Marist School.
The day started with us playing 6 schools in our round robin group. First, we played Beechwood Park and won 7-3; this was followed by a match against Headington, where we chalked up another win, this time with a great score of 16-1. After that we played Orchard House who were very strong opposition; they topped the pool group and, unfortunately, we lost 10-5. Our 4th match was against Notre Dame and we won 14-0; this was followed by another win against Eaton House. It was then time for our final pool group match against The Study, who, unfortunately, just had the edge over us.
Out of the 19 teams, we qualified in the top 8, which meant that we moved through into the Cup Competition – the top competition ranking above the plate and the bowl – to play in the knockouts. We came up against some stiff opposition and, sadly, did not come away with a win.
A big well done to everyone who played and supported. The girls had a great day and showed excellent skills, teamwork and resilience in the squad.
