Some fabulous swims!

Earlier this week, twenty-three girls travelled to Godstowe School to take part in a friendly swimming gala. All the girls were very excited and keen to do well; for some this was their first or second experience of a swimming gala and they were very keen to race.

We saw some fabulous swims, which were clearly testament to the hard work the girls had put in during Swim Squad training. A number of the girls were trying out a different stroke in this gala, thus pushing themselves out of their comfort zone thereby building up their resilience and courage.

Disappointingly, we just missed out on a win on this occasion. However,the girls showed great maturity in recognising where they need to improve and they can’t wait to get back in the pool to take their training to the next level.

Well done to each and every one of our swimmers – we can’t wait to see you in action at the next gala!
