Some impressive solo performances from Year 3

We recently had the annual ‘Singing Picture’ competition for Year Three girls in which every girl has to learn the nominated song and perform it as a solo in front of the Director of Music and the Headmistress. The set piece this year was the first verse and chorus from the popular 20^th Century hymn, ‘Sing Hosanna’.

All girls performed with confidence and style, rising to the phrasing and pitching demands which the song presented. As always, it was very difficult for the judges to decide on the winners, but Emily F, Emmy, Mina and Sara received a special mention, Ashley and Poppy were commended, Ivy and Myla were highly commended and the overall winner was Annie.

Well done to all girls in Year Three.
