Spreading the festive spirit out in the local community
22.11.2024
This Thursday, some of our Year 6 pupils stepped out into the community to share the festive spirit and spread a little Christmas magic.
The girls visited the Curzon Centre to perform an uplifting selection of Christmas songs and poems for the members of the Lunchtime Club. Our young performers were warmly welcomed by the Lunchtime Club, an organisation which provides hot meals and social opportunities for older members of the local area. Under the enthusiastic direction of Mr. Hayes, our Director of Music, our small but talented choir led the audience in singing along to much-loved Christmas classics. A particularly special moment came when the choir sang Happy Birthday to a remarkable lady celebrating her 97th birthday—a heart-warming highlight for everyone in attendance. It was a wonderful occasion which brought joy to both performers and guests alike, capturing the true spirit of the season.
