Success in the 500 Words Competition
10.06.2019
Earlier this year, the girls at Upper School were encouraged to enter a story for the BBC’s 500 words competition.
It was lovely to see so many of the girls taking part in this challenge and I hope they enjoyed the process of creating their entries. The national competition attracts huge numbers of entries (in 2018 it was a staggering 135,000) so we were delighted to hear that three of our girls made it through the first stage and into the next round of the competition. Congratulations to Kate, Giaan and Annabel Sp for being amongst those to make it through the first round against thousands of other entrants – a fantastic achievement!
