Supporting the local community

The Headmistress, Mrs Gater, shared a heartfelt thank you for a successful Harvest Festival and extended sincere thanks to everyone who attended the Harvest Festival and helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The generosity of our parents and pupils was truly remarkable, with beautifully presented boxes and baskets overflowing with gifts, which were arranged in a wonderful harvest display by Mrs Bissett,, Head of Art and Design and Technology. Year 6 performed some autumn poems and sang with gusto a rendition of ‘Sing to the Lord of Harvest’. We were joined at Upper School by Rev. Sharon Roberts who spoke to the children and parents about how the wealth of the world is not equally shared. Our Year 3 skilfully helped Rev. Roberts to demonstrate this, using pieces of bread.
After the Harvest Festival, the High March Maintenance team delivered the items, which were gratefully received by Slough Food Bank. We were also delighted that the retiring collections at Harvest Festival events raised an outstanding £1,128.90 for the NSPCC, our School Charity. This total includes £599.70 from Junior House and £529.20 from Upper School. The kindness and support from our whole school community truly makes a difference!
