Qualifiers for the IAPS National Finals
26.02.2026

During the Spring Term, over 4,000 competitors take part in more than 35 qualifying swimming galas across the country, all aiming for a place in the prestigious national finals. Only the fastest 1,500 swimmers, 20 per event, will be invited to compete at the London Aquatics Centre on 6th June.
This year, we were delighted to take a team of 10 girls from Years 5 and 6 to the qualifying event. The atmosphere was competitive yet supportive, and our swimmers represented the school with outstanding determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. Across the races, the girls delivered an impressive set of performances, achieving numerous personal best times and demonstrating clear progress in both technique and confidence.
The official final rankings — which determine qualification for the national finals — will be released after the Easter break. We eagerly await the results and hope to see some of our swimmers earn a place among the top competitors in the country.
Regardless of the outcome, the team’s attitude, effort and improvement were exceptional. Well done to all the girls who took part!
